Apophysis Guide
« on: June 02, 2006, 02:40:54 PM »
Don't know if this goes here or should be posted in the Resources section, but please move if needed.....

Here's a neat Apophysis guide that was just posted on DA.  Thought it might be helpful.

Apophysis Guide v.2.1

I'd rate you as an upper-middle-lower-mod with pro-novice-inter tendencies.....and a twist of lime!  Of course, my rating scale is completely objectively subjective, but ALWAYS consistently inconsistent.

wow loads of Apo stuff by Claire Jones at DA
Now I need to know what file all the stuff goes into. The scripts in the "scripts" folder (duh) but the gradients and those flame things I'm not to sure if they go in the scripts or that parameters folder. umm think flame downloads go in.... parameters? and gradients.... eerrr no idea

I have a gradients folder in Apophysis. For windows, the default is C>Program Files>Apophysis>Gradients

All I can find is two folders for Parameters and Scripts, no gradients folder. Am I supposed to make one for downloaded gradients? I'm still not sure if I put those flame things in parameters or not.

.flame files are parameters :) i dont really think you need a gradients folder, but you can use it i guess.

youll want a plugins folder for the variations you might download :)

I say go ahead and make one. I may have, but it's been so long I don't remember.

i discovered the Apo I downloaded from the Apophysis.org site a couple months ago is ooolldd like 2.2 old :-O I'm trying to get a newer one, but strangely can't find a site that has the newer 2.9 I've heard of for proper DL. I did find one site that had a 2.9 for DL, but when I got it, it wasn't a program with an install feature. It just sorta sat on top of my  desktop. not even a shortcut. I dumped it into the trash can. It was just weird and didn't have any folders I could access to add the stuff I DL from DA. Meh one of the many weird things I have happen to me with technology *shrugs*
