Animated Kaleidoscope
« on: January 02, 2007, 04:42:13 PM »
In this tutorial (Animated Kaleidoscope in GIMP GAP), I'll show you how to create an animated kaleidoscope just like this:

I've hosted the tutorial at DeviantArt due to the large file size.  It's in html format so you can download it to your own computer and work on it at your leisure.

Special thanks to Damascus for encouraging me to do the tutorial and proofreading/offering suggestions to improve the instructions before it ever hit the street. Thanks so much!

Enjoy!

I'd rate you as an upper-middle-lower-mod with pro-novice-inter tendencies.....and a twist of lime!  Of course, my rating scale is completely objectively subjective, but ALWAYS consistently inconsistent.

Nice touch with the border!  I assume you did that through GAP?  If so, looks like you learned quite a bit on your first go around!

No, I did it the long, slow way... adding to each layer afterwards.  I do know there's a much more efficient way, but the repetitiveness of doing it was relaxing...
