Thank you Stormy... I have been meaning to post links to these programs for a while now, but i keep forgetting.

I first heard of both of these programs from Darth. I soon forgot them and went about my inkscape and gimp life. Darth latter showed me the Chaos & Evolutions DVD at the blender store. I really liked the looks of it so i ordered it. After getting it and watching it I feel in love with Alchemy and at least once or more a day i open it and sketch away. I have yet to really dive into myPaint mainly because I am more used to gimp and with gimp paint studio and GimpPainter i can do painting easily with gimp.

Alchemy is a wicked program all around. It is not really for making finished work. It is a digital sketchpad.

Alchemy uses shapes that are imported from a PDF file to create the brushes so to speak. This makes making a brush pack pretty simple. You could open up Inkscape make some shapes and save it as a PDF and poof you have a brush set. I have come across a few people have made and they are cool.

It also has some pretty fun settings. All around Alchemy is a cool program and if you are into digital Drawing or painting  i highly suggest picking it up and learning it.

Here is a quick sketch i did with Alchemy a while ago.

As far as myPaint goes I have yet to really get into it. I have played with it a bit and it is fun but not what i am into at this moment.

Both of these programs come with the Chaos & Evolutions DVD from the blender store and the author of the dvd shows how he uses Alchemy. He also does a little work with myPaint but mostly gimp and Alchemy. His work with Alchemy is awesome.

[edit user=Hi-T3k~HillBilly]I do not get a dime from the Blender Store to plug Chaos & Evolutions. I do it because it is a fantastic DVD and the the guy who made it should get props for his work with open source tools. I highly recommend buying it and watching it. It is worth every penny.[/edit]

There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.
