I opened it, and there are a bunch of tags like that.... And since when is it blue? When I opened it, it was white....

Are you talking about the images and stuff?  It should have always been blue.  The only thing that should have been white was the plain white background.
I'd rate you as an upper-middle-lower-mod with pro-novice-inter tendencies.....and a twist of lime!  Of course, my rating scale is completely objectively subjective, but ALWAYS consistently inconsistent.

The page was created in Word.  It's the only htm page maker I had available at the time I did it.  That's probably why.

There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.

Nice work, guys!  It really is a pretty easy way to do it, isn't it?  Much easier than the other ways. Of course, you can always select portions of your cutouts and move them around it you don't want everything to line up perfectly.  I may go back and add that part to the tutorial, but I just wanted to post this one first.

I am actually thinking of scattering the render around on the normal background like that.

I am finding that the sig or source image does have an impact on what you can do for boxes. I've always used this style for images with motion or flow. I should have something soon.
