VLC Video Player
« on: March 21, 2007, 07:14:07 AM »
I ran into some trouble getting Windows Media Player to play certain avi files and other video files.  I was pointed in the direction of VLC Media Player and have not been disappointed.  Fabulous!

I'd rate you as an upper-middle-lower-mod with pro-novice-inter tendencies.....and a twist of lime!  Of course, my rating scale is completely objectively subjective, but ALWAYS consistently inconsistent.

Thanks for this!  I was having some trouble getting Windows Media Player to play some .avi files, and VLC plays them with no problem at all.

Howdy, I just caught this post, yep, excellent little worker. Actually, my son does a lot of video stuff, putting together images and sound and all that and he ran across this some time ago and I must say, it does the job so I agree 100%. I always like the "FREE" tag as well.  ;)

If you have problems playing avi files and other media try instaling newbielink:http://www.divx-digest.com/software/ffdshow.html [nonactive].Another media player I recommend is newbielink:http://www.divx-digest.com/software/media_player_classic.html [nonactive]
