Feature request.
« on: March 03, 2010, 05:40:50 PM »
Could someone using Gimp on Windows and perhaps someone using it on Mac check for a feature for me?

Filters > Render > Clouds > Fog

I have this in Linux and I know it wasn't in the windows version before.. Can someone please check and post their findings along with what OS they are on?

Thanks Folks!

I'm using Windows XP and have Gimp 2.6.7
I checked and I have a Foggify  .... Filters > Render > Clouds > Foggify
hmm I've never used this feature. Kinda nice. I'll have to try it out with something now

Current status: confused ..... so business as usual

From what I've read, foggify is a python script and Windows (and Mac?) users won't have it unless python is installed.  However, here's a script by saulgoode (http://www.flashingtwelve.brickfilms.com/GIMP/Scripts/foggify.scm) that is written in Scheme.  It can be found under Filters > Render > Clouds > Foggify...
I'd rate you as an upper-middle-lower-mod with pro-novice-inter tendencies.....and a twist of lime!  Of course, my rating scale is completely objectively subjective, but ALWAYS consistently inconsistent.

Could someone run that and post a pic? I will do the same with "Fog" here on a black background.

Here's my test:

If my understanding is correct, there is no difference in the scripts and hopefully the results will be consistent.
