Followed Ista's tut over on dA.

Ya know, I've been meaning to try thus tut but for some reason never got to it. I'm going to have to get myself motivated and give it a shot - I have too many gamer friends to let this pass me by ;)

Nice work, Darth and thanks for the little push to try Istarlome's tut!

Truly I would have to agree with HiT3k's comment he said in chat with me... "You could make some rather professional pieces with this tut." A high compliment I think and one I agree with. the tut is very versatile.

Be sure to post your work? Maybe here and this could be a dungeon/game map section?

Here is my attempt.  I asked hubby to draw me up a quick map, then I tried to follow it as best as I could.  I also used istarlome's map object brush set.

That is sweet! How did you do the grunge along the floor by the lower wall with the beds and such?

Thanks, DG! The floor is a texture from borysses on deviantART.  They have a ton of good textures.

cool, the possibilities are endless.  i'm going to write up an addendum on how to do round rooms and the walls you have that are slightly off.

i can tell you how to do that.  as you know holding the shift key will add to the selection.  you also know that holding the ctrl key subtracts from the selection.

so that's what you do. hold the ctrl key and select into the room.  that part will be subtracted out and you will have the wall selections

I just select the add option in the selection tool options.
