Thanks for sharing the tip.  Nice idea.  Way to think outside the box!  Or, in your case, way to think outside the rectangle!  :P
I'd rate you as an upper-middle-lower-mod with pro-novice-inter tendencies.....and a twist of lime!  Of course, my rating scale is completely objectively subjective, but ALWAYS consistently inconsistent.

I added a rikku sig recently made

i found the positions and rotations to do this and will make a small table:

|Slide       |  Merge With   | Time for slide | Rotation | Position |
|sigA dup1|  sigB dup3      |  150ms         |  60.0     |  0.85     |
|sigA dup2|  sigB dup4      |  150ms         |  25.0     |  0.61     |
|sigA       |   none            |  2000ms       |   0.0      |   0.5     |
|sigA dup3| sigLast dup1   |  150ms         | -30.0     |  0.18    |
|sigA dup4| sigLast dup2   |  150ms         | -60.0     | -0.05    |

YES the rotation for sigA dup2 is 25.0 not 30.0 (it just works better that way)

this may work for sigs with different widths but these were used on sigs 400x150 (it shouldn't be affected by height)

it will probably work with other widths because the position is in relation to the size of the image

You used 'combine' instead of 'replace'.  Open up your gif and change all the layer names to use the word 'replace' instead of 'combine'.  Then save again.

Additionally, this script may prove helpful to you: http://www.flashingtwelve.brickfilms.com/GIMP/Scripts/anim-settings.scm  It allows you to change the animation settings of all layers at one time.

Nice work and welcome to the dome!  Thanks for trying it out.  I love writing tutorials, especially ones related to animation, so if you have any suggestions for other ways you'd like to show off your work in an animated or non-animated way, feel free to drop me a line.
