Although this wasn't dartin's graphic, I was inspired by his post (
http://www.gimpdome.com/index.php?topic=7472) to see if I could create something similar in a relatively quick fashion and without GAP.
GAP is perfect for this type of animation, but I know the learning curve is steep (plus it can be kinda scary) and there's no version for MAC....so, somebody's gonna get left out. I figured if I could do it without GAP and do it in a way
everyone could participate, that would be the best way to go. Well, here's my quick attempt:
Notice how one layer moves at a different speed that the other. It's not a beautiful masterpiece....never was intended to be. The goal was to see if I could do it. I know I said several months ago I was done with tutorials, but I've been away from GIMP for so long, I figured I might as well contribute something to the community. I'll be putting the tutorial together soon and you'll be amazed at how easy it is! I've even got a "special tool" to help facilitate the process!
For you animation lovers out there, I think you'll enjoy it.
