So, just to clarify: only the import part of my tutorial worked or my tutorial was the only thing you've gotten to work in AoI?  Because if there's something I need to fix so that it works, I'll do my best to make sure it happens.  I don't want dissatisfied customers.   ;)
I'd rate you as an upper-middle-lower-mod with pro-novice-inter tendencies.....and a twist of lime!  Of course, my rating scale is completely objectively subjective, but ALWAYS consistently inconsistent.

[hilite] No no, your tut was fine,[/hilite] it was everything else that has issues, lol. Your tut was the only thing that worked well, importing SVGs, etc...  :)  :D

Which step?  On the path import part? Maybe post a screenshot so I can take a look.

The only thing I can think then is that you made a mistake with exporting the svg path from GIMP.  Might want to try that step again.

Okay...this is something I have been meaning to try.    A sort of "nautilus"  shell.  Path imported into Blender from Inkscape.  Then a bevobj and a taperobj were applied in blender to shape the thing.  It probably has a lot of redundant faces inside where the shell wraps back on itself, but I ain't about to try to remove them.  I considered trying to do it with a sort of "C" shape rather than a full circle for the bevobj, but trying to control the orientation of the bevobj on the path isn't something I have quite mastered yet.
