Its in the import part of the main File menu, I do believe it comes with it, but I think it is Python based, so if your python install isn't correct, you won't have access to it.  However, it has been part of every default install of Blender I have done.

Cool. Thanks.
I'd rate you as an upper-middle-lower-mod with pro-novice-inter tendencies.....and a twist of lime!  Of course, my rating scale is completely objectively subjective, but ALWAYS consistently inconsistent.

Great tut FP! If AOI worked for me as it does others, I would be all over this. I have in the past tried AOI but nothing works for me the way they say it should.  However, very infomative anyway and great job. I still have to give you a + Karma for this one regardless.  :)

I tried it in Blender. I used the SVG format, but apparently theres a way to use xcf paths. I couldn't get it to work though.

Here's the image. Not for Dialup users.

I'm not sure what happened to the "P".

Looks really nice, gig!  Looks like Blender does an excellent job on importing paths with holes in them....AoI's tool doesn't do that.  I wonder if one of the anchors on the path of the letter 'P' is open there?

You can also use the bevobj and taper obj with those paths for some further interesting effects (works with Blender Text, too...)

I did bevel it in the object that I posted, but not too much. The more I beveled it, the bigger the pointy thing coming out of the "P" got.

Sorry AoI gave you trouble, Paul.  But I appreciate you taking the time to read the tutorial and give me some feedback....and the +Karma as well!  :)

No problem FP, actually I got it to work with the import as per your tut, it's the only thing that DID work, lol.

 Cheers,

 Paul
