It should be a simple task, but before I write out the steps, I want to check something out first.  Can you post a screenshot of your layers window so I can see what layers you have.  You should be able to delete that gray layer or just fill it with white, but if that layer isn't there, you'll probably have to redo the steps.  If you can post a screenie, we can give you exact details.
