GAP 2.2 executable for Windows

Hi, everyone!  I promise I'm coming back one day....still don't have a PC that I can "legitimately" run GIMP on.  A new version of GAP has been available for GIMP, but not a compiled one for Windows users.  Some kind person has recently compiled it and you can download it here:

I've installed it and quickly tested it and it *appears* to run.  However, as I said above, I don't have a computer that I can really use for GIMP'ing (I only have my work laptop) so a quick once over is all I could do.  Maybe one day soon I'll get all the parts together to run GIMP again.

Forgive my ignorance, since I'm new, but isn't the latest version of GAP v2.6.0??

I looked at the forums at GT, and found this: GIMP-GAP-2.6.0 for windows.  The link they post there for GAP v2.6 is this one: Gimp-GAP-2.6.0-Setup.exe.

To be quite honest I haven't the slightest idea.  I received a newsletter from gimptalk.com and copied/pasted the link from the newsletter here.  Because the link called it 2.2, that's what I used.  If it's wrong, my apologies. If the GAP version I linked you to does not work for other Windows GIMP 2.6 users, my apologies there as well.

Maybe a moderator can lock/delete this thread to avoid further confusion.

I got the same newsletter.. so if there's an error then the newsletter dude should be drawn and quartered. That or the article was done before the newer release...  :D
