Hi, Spin!  Actually, you don't really need to download anything to work through the tutorial.  However, the tutorial was created with a previous version of GIMP and all the scripts have been relocated elsewhere.  So, when you want to run the "Spinning Globe" script, go to Filters > Animation > Spinning Globe...

If you want a script that will let you change the timing of all layers at one time, there's a link to that script in the tutorial.  I've modified that script a little bit to give it more options and you can find my version here: http://www.gimpdome.com/index.php?topic=7076.0

Art
I'd rate you as an upper-middle-lower-mod with pro-novice-inter tendencies.....and a twist of lime!  Of course, my rating scale is completely objectively subjective, but ALWAYS consistently inconsistent.

but to make it from my knowledge you will need a flat camoflauge picture.  if you want to get that, that'd be fantastic.

EDIT:

I have sent you a way to go about doing it in the Message system.  check there and hope it works for you; Good luck finding a flat camo pic :/.
