That zip file at the bottom of the tut downloads as "corrupt  or invalid" for me.  :-[
Am I the only one with this problem?

first I've heard...

All the zip has is the render of Captain America, the LOMO script which Fence fixed and posted and one of Fence's older scripts that has been replaced in Gimp by Layer > New from visible.

It might be a page refresh issue.  Sometimes things just get messed up like that.  I just downloaded/opened it with no problem; however, the old script is still showing up in the zip file.
I'd rate you as an upper-middle-lower-mod with pro-novice-inter tendencies.....and a twist of lime!  Of course, my rating scale is completely objectively subjective, but ALWAYS consistently inconsistent.

No worries.  I already had the file from yesterday and thought maybe I, too, was having a page refresh issue.

I checked the scripts I downloaded and found I have a Lomography and Lomo Kompakt scripts I picked up from the Gimp registry. So I can have a go at this tut now I suppose. *crosses fingers*

Bumpity Bump anyways I've been looking at this tutorial for quite a while and then I couldn't find any of the files so then I go look for them >.> and I find them. Anyways step seven is confusing so I tried the best I could, anyways here's my result. I think it looks kind of grainy and I think I'd might of messed up on a step.

Well I wasn't sure what to merge so I just merge everything I did before that step, and thanks. The other thing is when I tried to set one of the layers to overlay it made the green a whole lot darker like if it wasn't even there.

Hey there! Glad to see you tried the tutorial out.

Two things.. the merge is part of the LOMO script.. when you run it you have choices, I almost always choose the options to work on a copy and to merge. Sorry that wasn't terribly clear. When you do it this way you see the result in a new canvas can you can then simply drag it over to the top of your working layer stack. In the tutorial, I did this twice and set one to overlay. However, all tutorials are guidelines and if you feel that this changes the effect too much then  modify. That's just part of it.

I tell ya, its rare for me to follow a tut step by step and not add my own flavour to it.

Would love to see more attempts at this tutorial.
