We drink straight from the bottle!  ::)
I'd rate you as an upper-middle-lower-mod with pro-novice-inter tendencies.....and a twist of lime!  Of course, my rating scale is completely objectively subjective, but ALWAYS consistently inconsistent.

Can you explain further?  Are you wanting to open it up in GIMP and use it there?  What do you mean it becomes flat?

hmmm, that's puzzling.  Did you change your environment settings like I showed in the Twist tutorial?  When you say you did a print screen, did you already have the colors in place or did you add the colors in GIMP?

the bottle colour was like that, then in gimp I changed the cap colour and added a background
shall I add a screenshot of the AoI work?
I saved it.

When you rendered the bottle, was it the same as the screenshot you posted earlier?  The one with the black background/blue bottle?  If so, I believe you need to go in and change your Environment Settings to white (Scene Menu > Environment)  Change the color Ambient color to black and the color below the dropdown to white.  Additionally, if you're going to bring this into GIMP for post-processing, I recommeded you render it with a transparent background.  To do that, go to your Render Options and click on the Output Button and click on Transparent Background.

Let me know if you need additional help.

I don't remember putting this on a yellow background, but that's how GIMP saved it.  Here is my result

maybe you had your background colour set to yellow and when you saved it flattened the image and made the background yellow
